MARQUETTE, Mich. --Hundreds of students started a new chapter of their life Saturday following the commencement ceremony held at Northern Michigan University.
While students were there to graduate, they also protested Snyder by standing up and turning their backs on him in protest of Flint's water crisis.
People in the audience followed suit while others held signs up.
Despite the protests, Governor Snyder asked them to consider staying in Michigan to find work.
He also encouraged the new graduates to not avoid risks.
